Art Nouveau of, zoals men het in Italië noemde, Liberty style, is een kunststroming in de kantlijn. Er is meer kunst daar.....
Italië's inbreng in die tijd werd, achteraf gezien,  wat ondergewaardeerd. Het is mijn stellige overtuiging dat daar bijzondere dingen gebeurd zijn. Google eens op: Ricordi posters, of kijk hier bij Firenze, naar het werk van Michelazzi. Een verfijnde mix van de florale Art Nouveau en de Weense Sezession maar dan met het Italiaanse gevoel voor design. Voor mij is dit wel het hoogtepunt in Art Nouveau architectuur!

Art Nouveau was called Liberty Style in Italy. An Art form of minor importance in a country with an Art history like Italy.
Italia's contribution in that period has, in my opinion, always been underestimated.Great things happened there! Google for: ' Ricordi posters' for instance. And look here at the works of Michelazzi in Firenze. A delicate mix of floral Art Nouveau and Vienna Sezession combined with the world famous Italian quality in design. For me, this is the top in Art Nouveau architecture!
